Talaat N’Yaqoub, Morocco September 2023

Deep in the mountains outside of Marrakech, far from the help of rescue workers, villages dug through the rubble to try and recover the bodies of those killed in Morocco’s magnitude 6.8 earthquake. Some lost their entire family, working through the day to dig mass graves to bury the dead.
